To God be the glory.
In Benin, a journey has come to its gentle close, yet its true beginning now unfolds.
For days, our Sisters gathered as pilgrims of hope, carrying stories from many lands and languages, meeting one another in prayer, in silence, in listening hearts, and in the shared dream of God’s Kingdom. Around one table, they learned. Around one mission, they grew. Around one Spirit, they became one.
Justice found a voice.
Peace found willing hands.
Creation found faithful guardians.
The days were woven with reflection and dialogue, with moments that challenged minds and touched hearts. Seeds of compassion were planted; seeds of courage were watered. What was received was more than knowledge—it was a fire for mission.
Now the gathering disperses like seeds carried by the wind.
Each Sister returns to her Entity, not empty-handed, but carrying a light kindled in Benin—a light meant for classrooms and parishes, villages and cities, communities and places where hope waits to be reborn.
They go forth as ambassadors of Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation: to defend the dignity of every person, to walk beside the vulnerable, to care tenderly for our common home, and to build communion in the spirit of synodality.
The closing ceremony was not a farewell.
It was a sending forth.
A blessing whispered into missionary hearts.
A promise that the work of God continues wherever His daughters are sent.
May every step they take become a prayer for justice.
May every word they speak become a seed of peace.
May every act of care become a hymn of love for creation.
And may the grace received in Benin blossom across every OLA Entity, bearing fruit for the Church, for humanity, and for our common home.
