Faith in Action: OLA Sisters Gather Online for the Papiri Abduction Victims

We, the OLA Sisters, gather online every Friday in a spirit of communion and hope, giving thanks for the release of the 100 individuals abducted from Papiri in Nigeria. For us, this gratitude is a reminder that even in the darkest valleys, light can break through.

Our weekly prayer, however, does not end in thanksgiving. We continue to implore God’s mercy for the safe release of the remaining 165 people still in captivity. Over time, this shared online gathering has become a lifeline—strengthening our OLA unity and solidarity, sustaining our faith, and affirming our conviction that compassion can reach every place of suffering.

Through this ongoing rhythm of prayer, we stand as witnesses to resilience and peace, refusing to allow fear to dominate the narrative. Our collective plea extends beyond our screens, carrying our hope for protection, freedom, and healing for all who still wait in uncertainty.
