In Loving Memory of Pope Francis

In Loving Memory of Pope Francis

It is with deep sadness that we, the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles, mourn the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. A shepherd of unparalleled humility and vision, Pope Francis tirelessly worked to renew the Church in her missionary calling —one that embraces the peripheries and boldly proclaims the Gospel to all.

Pope Francis’s profound dedication to inclusivity, social justice, and ecological care has inspired us to deepen our commitment to our missionary vocation. His call for a Church that is outward-looking, caring for people who are poor and marginalized, embracing dialogue and reconciliation, and promoting care for our common home, resonates deeply with our charism.

As we grieve this loss, we also celebrate his legacy, vowing to carry forward his vision of a missionary Church that brings Christ’s light and hope to the world. In the words of Saint Gregory the Great, “The proof of love is in the works. Where love exists, it works great things.” Pope Francis exemplified this love through his leadership as service, living his mission with grace and unwavering dedication.

May the soul of Pope Francis rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to guide and inspire us in our mission.
