OLA is committed to providing quality holistic education as one way of living out our mission. Education, and particularly education of the girl child has been a mainstay of our missionary endeavours since our first school began in St. Mary’s in Broad Street, Lagos, Nigeria in 1873. Our goals in offering education as a service, is not only to help students achieve academic excellence, but more importantly, to help form the characters of our young people to grow up and take up their civic responsibilities for their societies and for our world as a whole. We take pride in instilling gospel values of love, solidarity, justice, charity, among others.
Laudato Si has become a cornerstone of all our work and we continue to find ways to integrate our care for our planet, our common home, into our education curricula in our different countries.
